Cal and Dr. Oranu - December 2013.
On January 7, 2012 Cal was admitted to Memorial’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for croup. We expected to only be there for a few days; however things took a turn for the worse when Cal stopped breathing. We watched in terror while Dr. Oranu and his staff revitalized our son. We later found out that Cal’s heart stopped beating and both his lungs collapsed. Our stay suddenly extended from a few days to an unknown length of time as complications and side effects took their tolls on him.
During the stay we were overwhelmed at the amount of care we received from everyone involved. Cal was discharged on January 27th, his first birthday.
The staff at Memorial saved Cal’s life. Please support the Children’s Hospital and help save a life by giving a gift today.
